JOURNEY OF A DATA SCIENTIST
Vibhor Agarwal, PhD Candidate
About Me

I am currently a fourth year PhD candidate in Geodetic Science Program at OSU and have been interested in how to solve challenging Geo-science and Environmental problems using the vast data available around us. Along this journey I have gained experience in Quantitative Analysis, Statistical Modeling and Machine Learning and am aspiring for position in Data Science industry.

All the exciting projects from past focused on addressing challenging environmental issues related to Glacier mass balance, land subsidence, Waste Management using data- driven approaches.
I am excited about sing Machine Learning such as Artificial Neural Network (ANN), supervised and Unsupervised Learning for Geoscience problems

December 2016
This is a leading Remote Sensing based Research focusing on quantifying and analyzing the mass balance of a key glacier in Indian Himalayas. This study was led by me and prominent scientists in the field. This work has been published in one of the top journals in its field (click Link above) and has been followed by various research groups across the world and cited 19 times in the past (Google Scholar).
